Wedding Wednesday Vol. 8 + How to get you Bride Fit

Wedding Wednesday & Getting Fit with WeddingWire

via

Hey brides to be I LOVE you just the way you are! I am truly the last person to talk about getting fit and how to do so. (I am in no way qualified to give any medical advice and talk to your doctor before starting any exercise plan) Not only would I like to loose some weight, but I also want to be fully comfortable with myself on one of the happiest days of my life. Getting in shape will make me feel healthy and confident, leaving no room for unnecessary worries about the big day. On my WeddingWire forum I joined this amazing group! They are keeping me in check and if you belong to WeddingWire join me and let's connect!

I’ve come up with 4 great tips and the plan I’m using to help get you started because this whole planning process can be stressful and what a better way to distress, exercise! As with any other preparation, it's always better to start as early as you can. I suggest adopting a new fitness routine at least 6 months before your wedding day. But no matter how much time you have, the key is to do your pre-wedding workout regularly. So, let's get started!

1. Start Slow.
Slow and steady wins the race. You can read about what program I’m using here but this one and this one are also good. My suggestion from experience is don’t burn yourself out. Don’t try and start two-a-days instead do some light yoga for a month. Getting into the routine of working your body and eating right should be a slow start. Remember this is a marathon not a sprint!

2. Step out in the morning.
Set your alarm early and get ready. Get out of bed and make the effort to work out. I feel I can set my day up for success when I work out in the AM. The rest of the day I’m less likely to reach for a cookie if I’ve already worked out!

3. Grab a buddy and a mat.
It can be hard to start any new workout routine and it does help if you have a buddy. I find when I have a buddy I push myself harder in the workout! Plus you get some quality girl time so it’s a win-win!

4. Get yourself some cute clothes!

I mean lets be real you always work out better when you feel good about yourself. I swear by this and let’s be real you know you want some.  But really I love these pants, this top, and this mat is my favorite.

So tell me any of your tips and tricks because I need all of the motivation!
